A Tribute to Orpheus is an anthology of short fiction, poetry, and non-fiction prose by or about music or musicians, edited by Gary McKinney. The short stories, poetry, and non-fiction found in Tribute to Orpheus cover a swath of musical ground: from jazz to classical, from punk to pop, from penny whistles to Martin guitars and Marshall stacks. Covered, too, is an equally impressive swath of themes and emotions: love and loathing, compassion and humor, outlooks and insights. The authors themselves hail from all across America, literally from coast to coast and border to border. Most are also musicians, whether amateur and professional.
